How can I tell when a driver is medically qualified to drive?
Michael Smith
How do the drivers find this out? As a CDL driver I did not know this. With all the recent changes it is difficult to stay informed and this fourm seems to help with that.

wrote on 6/23/2016 at 12:03:40 PMAlthough some CDL drivers are required to have a medical exam and associated medical certificate, the driver is no longer required to have this card in their possession. Non-CDL drivers still need to carry the medical certificate in their vehicle when they operate a large truck between 10,001 and 26,000 pounds unless they have a valid CDL. If you are concerned about the driver’s medical ability, contact your Lead MCSAP Agency.
